On Screen & Stage
Fagun’s screen career began serendipitously — an ITV News feature on her academic excellence led to an audition, and her film debut in Brick Lane. She went on to win the BBC’s nationwide search for fresh acting talent against tens of thousands, and trained in classical acting at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
On London’s West End, she performed Shakespeare and Chekhov — Antony and Cleopatra, Romeo and Juliet, The Seagull. On screen, she has starred alongside Academy Award winners including Brie Larson, Martin Sheen, and Donald Sutherland — among them Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain, opposite Martin Sheen. Her filmography, recognised for its intellectual depth and social message, has earned festival selections and awards internationally, with red carpet premieres from Cannes to Venice to Toronto.
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) — the UK’s equivalent of the Oscars — honoured her on its selective Newcomers Program, awarded to international rising stars.

Fagun’s path to directing revealed itself in the theatre: when a production needed a director, she was the one the room turned to. What she discovered in that chair felt like a homecoming: she was born to build stories, as well as to inhabit them.
Her vision to create films with significant impact inspired her to formally train in the craft of directing. As a writer-director, she brings a rare combination to the chair: a physician’s understanding of the human mind, an actor’s command of performance, and a founder’s discipline — crafting purposeful cinema that educates, inspires, and moves audiences to act.
